This could very well be the case, and im not sure about it before on other
versions because I hadnt tried it before. However yeah, I think having the
ability to refresh the cache from the unit would be good, especially those
people who may even have an incoming ftp directory structure setup within
their mp3 files area.

Hmmm something I just thought of tho.... I might put in one of my mp3 CDs
into the drive and make a symlink from within my mp3 files to that CD. See
how successful it is reading the data from the CD.

I think that this is a bug that was introduced by Sean in his latest
changes to the directory scanning code. He commented out the bits
that check to see if a directory has changed since the last time we
opened it.

Sean?

Um, well you should be able to navigate to them from the remote. Can't you?

Hi,

I was using my SliMP3 player last night from a totally different part of
the house. I had uploaded some new albums to my files area, and when I was
decided I wanted to listen to these new albums. Problem is, the server
hadn't been restarted since I uploaded the files, so the new files weren't
showing up on the display.

Would it be a big thing to have (possibly in like a "config" menu off the
root tree along with Playlist and Music) a option to be able to make the
server refresh the files, so that you can grab new tracks that were added
while the server was still running ?

And maybe under the Config menu, there could also be a launch for changing
IP addresses and stuff like that......

Dunno, just throwing some random thoughts around but its something I know I
would find helpful.
