With Dean's new time in the top right, if repeat is off, and the song
finishes, the time never stops.

And of course if you were using the VFD.pm change which added the progress
bar at the top right, you'll see no clock at all. :)

Don't .mp3 files have a "normalized volume" field at the start of the file?
You could use a .mp3 file editor to set the normalized volume on all your .mp3
files in your library once. Or (and this would be cool), the SliMP3 server
could do this in-line as it started streaming files to the player.

Here's a suggestions for future versions of the server:
IS it was possible to add some kind of "normalizing" feature that would
make different MP3's play at almost the same volume. That way I wouldn't
have to putz with the volume on the stero when the next song is just a
little bit louder (or softer) then the previous. If this would require a
lot of CPU overhead, then it could be an option.
